About Me

I'm a daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Sometimes the "clutter" of my day can be overwhelming and I head to my closet for a "time-out."

Peace on Earth

My birthday is in a few days and the inevitable question will be..."What do you want for your birthday?" My mother's response would often be "Peace on earth." As frustrating as that would be, I sort of get that now. Did she have lots of clutter as well? Was she just yearning for things to be simple and calm and less complicated? Sure it is nice to have things and it would be nice to be debt free. But, there comes a time when "stuff" doesn't seem that important anymore and what you want doesn't come with a price tag.

So...with that in mind, here is my list:
1. that my children would find happiness in their lives that wasn't chemically induced or from spending money and having "things."
2. that my children would find their spiritual selves
3. to have less drama in my life
4. to have my children call "for no real reason...just to talk" (not to ask for money, favors, to whine, etc....)
5. my husband's health (this is a biggie, as much as he can drive me crazy, I don't know what I would do without him)
6. get my rocking chair restored..granted this might cost some money, but it was the one that my mother rocked me in when I was a baby
7. some "me" time
8. to be able to not cringe every time the phone rings
9. Sunday dinners filled with laughter and conversation not stress and drama

In other words...PEACE ON EARTH!
